Training Bay Ventilation Automation
I actually did the video for this unboxing a few weeks back but my concern for being able to complete the design challenge in time caused me to shift to the project more than the blogs. Sorry. The project is going well so back to sharing the adventure.
So... what's in the box?
DISCLAIMER: I thought I would be able to grab better still pictures from the video than I can. Instead of showing you fuzzy screen grabs, I will be using some of Schneider Electric's pictures. I'll include the one of the PLC just so you know what you're not missing.
Each component title is also a link to more information on the product.
TM251MESE PLC
HMIST6200 HMI
ABLM1A24025 Power Supply 24VDC 2.5A
ZBRA1 Relay Antenna
ZBRN2 Harmony Hub (Wireless Serial Gateway)
ZBRA2 External Antenna
ZBRRH Wireless Receiver
While the remaining components are small in size, they are BIG in in the benefits of the Harmony ecostructure. You need good input to get meaningful output. Right?
1 - ZB5AK1233 Wireless Selector Switch
3 - ZB5AZ009 Collar
ZBRT2 Transmitter
Not In The Box
If you were able to watch the video, you would know that I purchased an additional three relays with bases - should I want to use them with the ZBRRH receiver module. And... my project requires wired inputs and outputs - so I purchased the IO Expansion module below.
TM3DM8R Discrete IO Module
This IO module has four digital inputs and four relay outputs capable of handling 2A each.
Summary
These are components that came "in the box" and a few that I added to make a functional project. Again, thank you Schneider Electric and element14 for providing so many cool components for this design challenge.
2024-02-28 Late Addition
The postman dropped off one more component - compliments of Schneider Electric and element14...
ZBRV1 Visual Feedback
This is a pretty cool indicator. It flashes briefly to confirm that the switch transmitter's "message" was sent and received by the Harmony communication hub.
