1 Waterproof Connectors
This experiment challenge is about the following waterproof connectors,

These are typical connectors mostly used in harsh environment, not only fit for underwater but also for similar moisty, dusty, rodent infest field scenario.
These connectors are more robust and durable in normal situation, which can guarantee high level of safety.
Therefore, waterproof connectors are widely used in outdoor applications in long range oil transportation pipeline, high voltage transmission line, remote telecommunication intermedia station etc.
2 Experiments
2.1 Waterproof experiment
These connects cannot be tested alone without enclosure. In this experiment, 1554VA2GYCL Watertight Plastic Enclosure with prefabricated holes are provided. With all the connectors fixed, Watertight test can be carried out accordingly.
There are different IP ratings for these connectors. According to IEC60529, IP68 is highest possible grade, which is immersive. And with IP67, it is really watertight and durable to all normal outdoor nature environment. There are standard test procedures in IEC60529. But real scenary can be more complicate, especially with highly variable temperature range and erosion over ages.
Therefore this waterproof experiment is functional test only to prove enclosure watertight in real application such as remote unmanned video capture.
2.2 Functional experiment
With LattePanda V1 Single Board Computer, OpenVINO AI engine with SSD objective detection model on windows 10 platform shall be used.
The video is captured with waterproof USB camera. This part of experiment is about waterproof in this simple application.
2.3 Further experiment
The Unmanned video capture enclosure is mounted on moving platform, wandering outdoor freely in water and dusty situation.
