Design Challenge Prizes - What Do You Want?

One the best things that has come out of the challenges is the inter-challenger assistance.

Despite competing against each other for a prize, they share problems/solutions and offer help ...

 

That shows true community spirit and no prize or money buys that.

It's been there since the Forget Me Not ... but was quite likely in previous ones as well.

The concept of a Roadtest plus for Christmas this year was a good example of people helping people. I got a lot of help from many and grew to appreciate their approach and wisdom. I found my skilss were software related and hardware is lacking. But now I am addressing this and wemt to a maker space near by. I saw first hand how to solder small headers and think a learned many tips. This would not have happened had I not entered the design challenge. As for prize it was secondary to the community help which was priceless. I had fun even though I did not win. Next time I will come back with a better plan. Thanks Element 14 and all the great folks like Nicole, David, and Christian who I already miss.

and isn't it wonderful....no-one wants to invade us (perhaps because they all own us anyway), boat people find it too far

You also run the risk of having a catastrophe and nobody noticing your gone for a couple of days or weeks.

You know, the old out of sight out of mind issues.

Still, I would have to say I would like the nice peaceful life style way down there.

Not likely, we owe everyone money so when it is missing, they'll come looking.

I second the idea of a peaceful life with no politicians. Not quite sure how that can be awarded as a prize though....

I like the 3D printer too.

I have an Oscilloscope, but would love a Logic Analyzer.

How about a Spectrum analyzer, should you wish to explore the RF world.
