Hi all
I am new to the forum and i have been looking around for a few weeks now to try and come up with a fix for my problem, I work back stage at my local theatre and i am trying to make a que light system which involves a base station witch controls 8 outlet box's, the base station is going to have 8 red lights and 8 green lights and 8 button's on it and each outlet box is going to have 1 red and 1 green light and also a button. So basic explanation is when the base station selects which outlet box they want the red led will flash on both base and outlet box's then when the person stood next to the outlet box sees the flashing red light he hits the button turning it to a static red light on both outlet and base station, then when ready the base station operator will hit the green buttons and green will light up on the outlet box's and the base station.
I am trying to figure out a way of wiring the outlet box's and also the base station and also look at a way of building the base station, i have a basic understanding in electronics so can quite quickly catch up if needed would any one be willing to lend a hand to help me get this off the ground i am looking at using cat 5 for leads from the base to the outlet and having a single feed to each individual outlet box.
Any help with this would be awesome and very welcome i can send photos of what i am trying to accomplish if people need a visual aid.
Matt
