IQU - Door Approach Video Capture Demonstration
This is an update to the IQU project entered in the Forget Me Not Design challenge showing a Raspberry Pi with Pi-Cam capturing video of my walkway as I approach the door. The Pi-Cam is mounted in a bay window adjacent to the door.
I am using a mirror so the Pi-Cam can take some video of itself to show where it is.
Note, you can see the red "video recording" LED reflected off the window pane because I didn't have the camera close enough to the glass.
Here is a picture of the Raspberry Pi system with Pi-Cam on top.
The 5" video monitor can show anything or anyone approaching the door before they even get to the door. It is shown replaying an earlier capture. The small display is powered by a DC-DC converter (5V to 12V) (located just to the left of the monitor) - designed with Eagle CAD.
