Minions supporting the Xmas Spirit

18 Dec 2014

During the Forget Me Not challenge, I was lucky enough to win Tim.

Forget Me Not Challenge: Minion of the Week #3

I introduced him here

Forget Me Not :  eLDERmon  Tim

Since he was a lone child, I decided to obtain a Dave, along with the famous 'Dart Gun".

They have been rather chatty, but I suspect that's more to do with who goes past.

Xmas Spirit

It was time to introduce them to the xmas spirit, and in particular Santa Hats.

So having some spare hats and a talented daughter (who's finished school now), it was time to hack material.

image

Obviously its a little large .. or maybe it could be a Xmas Teepee for a minion

image

Hayley unpicked the band

image

The result is a hat and band, which can now be resized to suit.

image

Measure the heads ... they are different sizes but 350mm seemed suitable.

image

Rescale the band to 45mm height (folded in half so cut size is 90mm).

image

Sew the band.

image

Unpick the hat until the opening matches the band.

image

Cut the hat excess and sew the band onto the hat.

One very happy looking Dave.

Ready to party ... note the non-alcoholic drink, because the night was long and they didn't want to end up like Jerry (laying down singing)

Thanks to Hayley for the work and the photos.

Have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year

Shabaz Hayley did very well with it. She has also made a minion ornament from coloured rubber bands, but she didn't take pictures, so I might need to get her to repeat it. Sure thing borrow away. (maybe…

(maybe I should take them on a blank screen)
