My EAGLE licence has just arrived and can't wait to put its new features to the test.

Things can be harder to do when upside down!

In Australia our electromagnetic spectrum management is handled by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).

Here is a link to their spectrum chart.

http://www.acma.gov.au/~/media/Spectrum%20Transformation%20and%20Government/Publication/pdf/spectrum_chart2013%20pdf.pdf

You will notice that the 315MHz, 868MHz and 902MHz bands used by the EnOcean Energy Harvesting sensors are already allocated FIXED services and therefore can not be used in their current state.

EnOcean Alliance company Nuuon has lodged a submission to the ACMA notifying of its intent to obtain approval.

http://www.acma.gov.au/webwr/_assets/main/lib550052/ifc47_2012-nuuon_australia.pdf

At the end of March EnOcean announced a 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 model.

http://www.enocean.com/en/enocean-self-powers-2-4-ghz-radio-with-kinetic-energy/

It has the same form as the PTM 210 switch module thus fits into a standard light switch and is powered by the patented ECO 200 kinetic electromechanical module. Hopefully EnOcean will release accompanying energy harvesting sensors for it.

For those who don't know, IEEE 802.15.4 is a standard for LR-WPANs (Low Rate Personal Area Networks) it is the basis of existing technologies such as ZigBee and MiFi and can be used with LoPAN (IPV6 over Low Power Personal Area Networks).

I've found the following ACMA document and I believe it implies that 315MHz useable for LIPD devices provided that the maximum power output is less than 10uW.

    http://www.acma.gov.au/webwr/_assets/main/lib311880/lipd_class_licence_2000.pdf

From the TCM320 datasheet the unit is rated at 7.5dBm (5.62mW) which exceeds this value and I can't see a soft command to attenuate the power output.

Nice to see you back in the world of internet.

I've sent you a PM re 315MHz modules.
