The Forget Me Not Design Challenge - The Finalists

Many thanks to all who applied for the Forget Me Not Design Challenge. We have had applications from all over the world, from Brazil to Belgium to Bangladesh and back.

With 245 pages worth of applications (totaling over 83000 words) it hasn't been easy to decide on the challengers. However, we have selected 15 applicants to receive the full kit which is comprised of -

Raspberry Pi Model B Plus
EnOcean Pi & Sensors
Tektronix TBS1202B-EDU Oscilloscope
A $500 budget for additional parts
CadSoft Pro License

If you weren't picked for the challenge, yet still want to participate, please buy a Raspberry Pi B Plus, an EnOcean Pi and an EnOcean Sensor Kit and start creating; please blog about your project on a weekly basis on the Forget Me Not group, tag your blog posts with "forget_me_not" and be sure to tell us all about your build.

Sorry man. Its a shame every great idea couldn't of been chosen.

I did have it in my head that I wouldn't get picked and tried not to let it worry me but it didn't work. Last night I even dreamt that I checked the site and I hadn't been picked and woke up feeling gutted. I thought I would log on and congratulate those who had and figured out that they hadn't picked the finalists yet and had the nerves all over again.

Nah, no need to apologise. Besides, a system to keep a dog safe (my idea) is not as good as a system to help someone with Alzheimers now, is it?

Hi Joshua,

A pet idea is pretty cool too (and doing this is still a great way to get into IoT if you're interested in pursuing this anyway). I know some people working on
projects involving pets, it definitely has value. As does medical systems e.g. for Alzheimer's of course.
I'm sure it is hard selecting a few out of hundreds.
