Last night, day or morning (depending where you are in the world) we hung out with Becky Stern and Phillip Torrone from Adafruit. They showed us what is truely possible with the wearable technology using the Adafruit Flora. Definetly worth a watch.

I am not interested in wearables as a fashon statement, but about twenty years ago, I proposed using small electronic devices integrated into clothing to monitor people doing dangerous work.

I can see that the current technology would enable anyone to do the basic physiological measurements to check for things like heat exhaustion, heart issues, breathing issues, etc.

I think this challenge would do well to entice a special category of such wearable instrumentation.  We would all benefit.

    Just a thought,

    DAB
