Coachman's Navigational Top Hat: fiber optic feather detail.

So, once again I was distracted from working on the base in favor of working on something pretty. I decided to try and make the fiber optic feather decoration for the side of my hat. I found a short white and black pheasant feather trim at a local trim store. The fiber optic was harvested from a scrap of LumiGram fabric. (luminous fabric, fiber optic fabric, Luminous clothing, luminous cloth, illuminating fabric, tissu lumineux, tissu fibre…) I used a twist of 18 gauge wire and built up the base with bias strips of flannel.
