Hey guys! This is the second to last post! In this video, I measure, assemble, solder, and place the wires/tech in the helmet.

Things to note:

-all the electronics work fine (even now that I'm done completely) EXCEPT for one neopixel, which is broken. I except that.

-I did hot glue all the electronics in (they work fine)

-I've never soldered before, don't expect the best of work!

Things used:

-1 Gemma

-1 Lipo battery

-1 Tactile push button switch

-8 neopixels

-lots of wire and solder!

Code used:

(copying and pasting the code took to much space)

look for it here: (just scroll down)

https://learn.adafruit.com/superhero-power-plant/build-it

Special thanks:

To tom for loaning soldering stuff.

To mom for helping me strip wire (<- this was a requested portion of thanks)

Its been a while since I took this video, and now I AM FINISHED! Just have to post the last video! I can't believe how far I've gotten, thanks to everyone who watched/read!

Thanks! I'd like to say I learned a lot, but I'm still a beginner. It definitely has been a great experience, a hope to do something like this again.

It is clear that you are learning a lot during the challenge.

Soldering skills come with practice.  In tech school, we spent hours soldering connections and testing them.

The SMD components make it essential that you have both a small soldering tip and a rig to keep the parts still while you apply solder and heat.

Overall I think you did a pretty good job for your first adventure.

I look forward to your final post and your thoughts about what you think you learned during the challenge.
