Above you can see this cool poncho that was my inspiration. I didn't want a regular poncho.

I wanted something different from the norm so,  after many hours on the net I found this asymmetrical stye poncho and that was it for me!

I also ordered 4 umbrella hats from China and a doll's umbrella to use the frames for my template. I will test them out and whichever works best,

we will use. I have some ideas for my design but I still don't know what can and can't be done. I have two other helpers so with their help,

We will decide what works and what will not.

Pattern cutting:

Luz Amparo didn't have a paper pattern so she set out to create one.

Baby is much calmer than Pierre, so we used him as our first model.

We will start with the poncho and the collar which will be detachable.

So here is the poncho with some LEDs on a wire just for testing.

Please enjoy the videos of Baby's fitting.  I had stated before that Luz Amparo's first laguage is spanish and as she explains her ideas to me,

I will repeat them in english. She was stating that she made the collar a little full so we can add the LEDs.

The poncho and the process is not difficult,  but we do need to be mindful that fitting a dog is no easy task.

My dogs are great but if you do this for your pet,  just remember that they have different body types than humans so,

when designing keep that in mind. Have fun is what i tell people.
