Meet the Challengers of the Just Encase Design challenge and Updated Dates

 

Meet the Challengers


The element14 Community is pleased to introduce the Just Encase Design Challenge, in partnership with Hammond Manufacturing. Submit your application with a summary describing the remote monitoring project of your choice, with a focus on subjecting your project to harsh environmental conditions like extreme temperatures, water exposure, debris like dust or dirt, and more. Use the provided Arduino MKR WAN 1300, keep the project safe using one of Hammond's enclosures, and show yourself putting it through its paces!

 

Want to jet wash your project, bury it in snow, or blast it with sand at the beach? We want to see a video or photos of the before and after!

 

These challengers have been be selected to receive the FREE enclosure kit to help protect their projects from the cruel, cruel world.

What can you build?

  • Industrial Plant Predictive Maintenance Device

    Hello to all of our Just Encase challengers, and to the entire community as well! Coming to you live from our stock room and work space at our Chicago office, I wanted to give you an update about the situation with these kits.

    Today I'm packing them all up as fully as I can; however, it looks like there's been a delay with receiving the selection of Hammond cable glands that we ordered, such that one shipment should arrive today (December 3 2021), and another will arrive December 6 2021. I considered sending out what I have, but decided that didn't make sense and would add too much shipping cost, given the number of kits going out.

    So sorry for the delay on this! Once I have shipped the kits, I will discuss with  and we will get the due dates all adjusted for this challenge to account for the delay in getting everyone their parts.
