Hi all, Tinkering with things, is my MO, while writing documentation, and taking photos is something I frequently forget to do.
I signed up for the Digilent Analog Discovery 3 road test, after succumbing to some target ads on social media.
I am excited at the premise of maybe documenting that product. Anyway, when I signed up for Element14, I also saw some some other interesting initiatives I apparently missed.
This is OK, sweet loot and swag isn't my only motivation for doing things, I can take that initiative and continue on my own. The Little Free STEM Library, was one such event that reinvigorated my interest in the Little Free Libraries.
Garnering some support from the Community, and the Bangor Makerspace, I have initiated my own version of the Little Free STEAM library. Don't forget the Arts. Darin Beaulieu, the go to guy in Maine, for all things of the STEAM-punk aesthetic is helping design the cabinet. Volunteers at the Bangor Makerspace are searching for a permanent location for the little free library.
Over the summer I donated about 50 Chromebooks, and kindle ebook readers to little free libraries in the Bangor area. I would like to continue this project, at a dedicated location, and expand the operation with various other STEAM related projects.
I have received a few more kindles, and chromebooks, and hope to continue up-cycling electronics, as well as doing other projects, in the greater Bangor area.
I wrote a kids war-hammer book this evening, and printed it on wood using a laser-cutter, which got me thinking about writing other things, like short inspirational project guides on laser cut wood. The project is rolling, I just wanted to share that, and experiment with the blog posting bit.
