Hello challengers and jury.
You haven't heard about me since the beginning of the challenge and I would like to apologize about my late lack of content.
But now I am available and I will do my best to keep the project going forward.
What I have I done so far:
- unfortunately the motor is not spinning already, this is kind of a bummer, but it is just a matter of time, and finding a 24 Volt supply, two 3S lipos are maybe going to do the trick
- with the help of FRDM-KV31F|Freedom Development Platform|Kinetis MCU|NXP I have been able to get started with the freescale board in Keil uVision (it was not as easy as with the ti launchpad though)
- the P&E drivers and debugger packages are all up and running with no issues on windows 8.1 that is great
- the serial communication is working like a charm
The only issue I have now is with the project I intended to do... I am more and more worried that the motor output will need a lot of work in order to spin at a reasonable speed, it is often the case with BLCD motor that they run at crazy speed and I don't have the time nor the skills to make a reduction gearbox in the timeframe of the contest.
So I might transform the project slightly to use the motor in a different way, let the future tell us how it is going to go.
Hope to be able to make the motor spin in the near future... It will be my next post, maybe next week !!
Please stay tune, nice to see the other participants already deep in their project. I am looking forward to see everyone's update.
Benjamin report#1 transmission is over....................
