Extensive usage of XADC module on MiniZed Starter Kit

    Final Project

    Extensive Use of XADC module for Sensor data acquisition/Power measurement using MiniZed board

    Create new project

     

    Select the device as XC7Z007Scfg225-1 which is the SoC available on MiniZed board

    Click on create block design

    Click on create block design

    Type XADC and select XADC wizard

    image

    Right click on Vp_Vn pin and click Make external

    Add clocking wizard block

    Click on Run connection automation

     image

    Connect clk_out1 and Locked outputs of the CLK_WIZ_0 to the s_axi_aclk and s_axi_aresetn pins

    Double click on XADC_WIZ_0 module and enter the different ADC parameters

    Click on Create HDL Wrapper

    Click on Implementation and Then Create Bitstream

    Then open Hardware Manager

    Double click on XADC (System Manager)

    In XADC dashboard, add all XADC signals

     image

    All the ADC signals can be added and probed as shown in figure below

    External analog signals can be connected to the AD0 to AD5 pins and the changes can be seen over this XADC monitor
