What's considered a good blog? We have trainings that we can do and write about, but there's not really much to offer since they're pretty straightforward.
Blogs can be fun or educational. I agree with most opinions from all of you here. My principals of the blogs would be as below.
1. Easy reading, since most of readers here are hobby level? Why? Because I found that most of the readers tried to learn something not belonging to their major fields.
2. Length and depth. I found most of us would like to spend 5-7 min to read a blog rather than 30 min. First 7 min reading would be the most memorial part for a lot of topics. If the content would like to go deeper, more than 1 blog for the similar subjects could be a good option.
3. Meaningful contents is the core to attract readers in the community.
