Ultra96 V2 Restart on Running AI/ML Application

Dear All

Upon Running the Machine Learning object Detect application, the the Ultra96 abruptly restarted.

After browsing through the internet, observed that " PMIC Firmware requires an update" posted on 2021

Since its 2023 now, Does this Problem still exist ?

Do we need to update the PMIC Firmware in recently received boards.

I had similar restarting issues while running demos and I had to update the PMIC firmware on the board I received.

From my understanding, the PMIC firmware is board dependent (possibly flashed in the factory) and is not dependent on the Vivado tool version.

But your build image has a PMIC application, though which you can read, verify if the current PMIC registers are different to the newest version and program registers accordingly.

(+) Ultra96-V2 Getting Started Guide v2.0 - element14 Community section 14 provides you detailed information on how to check your current version and update it to the latest version.

The upgrade process for PMIC firmware was seamless and I could run the Machine Learning demos.
