AI powered CNC Painting Machine - Blog #5 - Experimenting with Lithophanes

Hi,

 

While waiting for the magnets and laser module to arrive, I thought to experiment a little bit with 3D printeded lithophanes.

 

I found on Thingiverse a lithophane of The Great Wave off Kanagawa made by utoudabi:

I printed it using white PETG. This is what I got:

Also found a great tool to generate lithophanes from images:

The tool is open source, so I think we should be able to get it running on the Raspberry Pi:
