Hi guys, as I discussed in my last blog post that PiFace CAD is not adding much value in this project, so I was not going to use it, and the other problem was with the USB audio card which was giving me horrible audio quality, and I was not able to find any affordable USB mic, so I was really tensed about the project, and then suddenly I got a call from Element14 asking me that if I would like to include the Wolfson Audio Card in my project, this was the solution to of all my problems..
The care and concern form Element14 has really won my heart, thanks again !!
Now coming to The Wolfson Audio Card :
The Wolfson Audio Card is a addon board for the Raspberry Pi which gives it to play and capture stereo sound, And for me it provides a audio in and audio out features which I needed really badly, You can read more about The Wolfson Audio Card HERE..
Some of its key features are..
1 ). 3.5 mm jack (4-pole) for a headset/boom mic combination for gaming or VoIP applications.
2 ). 3.5 mm jack for microphone input.
3 ). On-board MEMS microphone.
4 ). 3.5 mm jack stereo line input for connection to devices such as digital audio players (iPod etc.) or mobile phones.
5 ). 3.5 mm jack stereo line output for connection to devices such as external stereo amplifiers or powered speakers
6 ). Phono jack for electrical (not optical) S/PDIF digital input
7 ). On-board class D power amplifier for external speakers, with connection to external power source if needed.
8 ). Small pin header for extra functions if they are low cost, already on-chip, and don’t require any further components.
I again want to thank Element14 for their support and understanding our problems, This will make the project sound much better and the experience awesome, this really solved all of my problems,I am waiting to it to get delivered to me, can't wait to work wit it ...
