Rocking The Rocking Raspberry Pi Challenge.. Part 9 My Wolfson Audio Card Is Dead....

Hi Guys today is the saddest day of my life, I came up with the conclusion that the Wolfson audio card that I received has some kind of defect or something like that, It took me 2 weeks to come up with this conclusion after trying almost every thing I found on the internet and people recommended me, What I read in community and every thing else. As I didn't wanted to get this result I tried almost every thing to make it work, I this post will be about how I came up with this conclusion, So here it goes.

In my last post I explained all of the problems I was facing with the setup, keeping every thing aside I thought my problems were mainly because of the memory card, as Wolfson recommended a class 6 or above card and all I had was a class 4, I thought that this was the main reason of my problem, So I bought a new 16 GB class 10 microSD card and thought that all my problems will be solved, but all that went in vane, non of my problems were solved it was as before, Even then I thought that maybe the SD card has some problem, so I formatted it and flashed it with regular Raspbian, removed the Wolfson card from pi, and the system ran as smooth as ever, the class 10 card was working fine, no over heating was there,  VLC player worked good it even played videos well, Then tried the NOOBS card provided to us, it also worked good, no lags, no over heating !!!

I have tried this many times, with both class 4 and class 10 cards, with and without Wolfson Card, With and without Wolfson image, with the official and ragnar.jensen's image.. Below is a table with the configuration and results..

1 ). Class 4, 8 GB card with NOOBS installed Raspbian, no Wolfson card = Works Fine.

2 ). Class 10, 16 GB card with NOOBS Installed Raspbin, no Wolfson card = Works Better.

3 ). Class 4, 8 GB card with Raspbian ( Image File ), no Wolfson card = Works Fine.

4 ). Class 10, 16 GB card with Raspbian ( Image File ), no Wolfson card = Works Better.

5 ). Class 10, 16 GB card with official Wolfson Image, no Wolfson card = Works Fine.

6 ). Class 4, 8 GB card with ragnar.jensen's Wolfson Image, no Wolfson card = Works Better.

7 ). Class 10, 16 GB card with official Wolfson Image, with Wolfson card = Lag, over heating, no audio form Wolfson.

8 ). Class 4, 8 GB card with ragnar.jensen's Wolfson Image, with Wolfson card = Lag, over heating, no audio form Wolfson.

9 ). Class 10, 16 GB card with ragnar.jensen's Wolfson Image, with Wolfson card = Lag, over heating, no audio form Wolfson.

This is clear indication that something is wrong with my Wolfson Audio card, I would like if  Mr. @Christian DeFeo takes a look at this matter, and do something accordingly....
