To be honest, I see that it works fast and very well, but it seems really unusable in a real application. I suppose that in the PiFaceCAD the IR has just been added to manage cases like this with a more useful tool than the five buttons.

Enrico, Thanks for the comment. Yes, it is not ideal. I may go back and change some of the options to the custom value selection. Since host and baud-rate will only take on discrete values, I could use a list to choose from. The other items will have to remain as input, but in reality there should be very little to change once the application is up and running
