Beyond the traditional (a bit rhetorical, yeah?) thanks it is the worth to spend some words on what opportunity this challenge has represented for this project.
The Meditech idea was just an idea. I was sure it was possible but was necessary a starting point, a sort of cooperation with someone. This is what I have found here. First of all the thanks are to the Element14 entire organisation that trusted in the first proof of concept submission. Then my personal thanks are for all those members that got any kind of possible support and helpful hints that is impossible to mention all here but they perfectly know what I mean.
So Meditech got the right boost and today the first phase - formerly phase zero, codename tricorder - has been completed: the idea is a project moving on his way. The opportunity to invest few money, interact with a lot of different point of view and very different skills just while the first prototype was growing from the scratch has dramatically simplified the first - and more difficult - step. As well the Element14 support with the kit that made available all the needed hardware and more.
Now the project has gained its own future. Today it is sure that the next phase 1 will be completed hopefully following the expected timeline while it is a promising option the first preproduction of the first 10 units (expected to be available for delivery in the first two months of 2016).
Thanks to the challenge and Element 14 today Meditech is a trustable idea while there is a growing attention of the media for what happens next months. Personally I will continue to blog the thread with constant updates on the Element14 community as the primary reference point for the Meditech development project.
