In the insert video windows you have three tabs. The first (leftmost) is to upload from your computer directly in the blog post (that is what I suggest). The second (in the middle,) is to insert an already uploaded video from E14 and the third (rightmost) is to place a youtube or vimeo link from a video uploaded from outside.

Personally I adopt two different strategies: when the video that I should show is strictly related to the post and is a preview (not well done, not audio, very short, just like a moving note), I upload it directly to the post with the first tab. When the video is part of the project that I consider of general interest, I upload it on my youtube channel, then get the link and post it in the blog to embed the video.

Take in account that for Element14 video uploading I have experienced some issues both for linking and uploading, already noticed to the technical support. As a matter of fact the only browsers that canbe considered reliable for Element14 video upload are Firefox (Mozilla) and Chrome. With IE there are lot of problems while with Safari the video seems starting uploading then the progress bar shows nothing (no progress percentage at all) and the video upload remains always at the zero position).

I don't seem to get that option when writing the blog, however they always show up as content and activity for anyone to see if they're following me on the challenge. I see others videos all the time since they're all posted publicly. image They're out there in the element14 cloud!

As far as what I have understood on the forum mechanisms, it seems best practice to add the video directly while writing the post, with the insert video icon.

    image

... instead of upload it separately then adding to the post itself.

Anyway, afte the separate video uploading (as yo have done) videos remain in your stuff archived as videos) so press the add video icon on the blog post and select from your videos tab in the selection list. You will see all the videos you have uploaded on the Element14 and select the one that you want to embed in the post.

    image

    Hope this will help you.
