Raspberry Pi Electronic Lab #1 - Сoncept

Introduction

I have accumulated a lot of different devices for signal analysis, this is a USB oscilloscope, a logic analyzer, an SDR receiver, so why not connect all this to a Raspberry Pi and build a whole laboratory for measuring signals around it?

image

The idea is to assemble all the devices and the Raspberry Pi into one case along with the display, find and set up software that would work well with these devices.Since I try not to throw away old and broken equipment, therefore, as a display for the Raspberry Pi, I am going to use an old 17-inch monitor with a DVI input, whose backlight doesn't work, so I will have to replace the failed CCFL lamps (cold cathode fluorescence lamp) with Led LEDs.

imageimage

To power the Monitor, Raspberry Pi and other USB devices, I will use a compact computer power supply in the TFX form factor with a power of 300 watts. I think that the power of such a power supply will be excessive, but I don’t have another compact power supply yet.

image

I'm going to 3D print the case, place all the devices on the back of the monitor. Below in the picture is a small demonstration of what I want to do.

I really like the project concept, looking forward to seeing it come together and a nice way to up-cycle an old monitor too.

I have a DSO2090. Now that I look again, I do find software that suggests it runs on newer operating systems.

    Neat idea!

For ages I was thinking of somehow integrating a small TFT to a compact PC (like NUC) or finding a tablet PC with USB 3, so that I could use it exclusively with an SDR, but the idea of a larger monitor with it integrated is better. It becomes a proper instrument/appliance.

What model do you have? I have Hantek6022BE, under it there is an OpenHantek program for Linux.
