On posting your updates and naming them

Hey everyone,

Great to see all the updates coming in.

When titling your posts, there's no need to be overly methodical—this isn’t a strict table of contents.

Use titles that briefly describe what your post is about. For example, instead of:

"Forum Update 3: Updating Files"

Use something like:

"Updating My Model for Resistor Identification"

This gives others a better idea of what you're sharing.

You don’t need to number your posts—we can already track that. You can also go back and edit titles or content if needed.

Quality matters more than quantity, especially in competitions on the element14 Community.

  • I just followed it for self-identification to see how many I've posted, differentiate it from others' project updates and to see which one follows the other. But yes, as you have said, numbering/ methodical titling looks a bit odd. 

    I've removed it from my project titles of Shift it! design challenge.

    I've been following this trend from the start to quickly filter my blogs without a filter.

  • And judges really do read the entire content, so they notice when there's high quality and when there's content for the sake of it, or content just too ancillary in nature and not really relevant to the challenge.

    Also, if people genuinely try to write what they find interesting, then their passion will shine through, and others will find that just as interesting to read.
