Speech Recognition
This update demonstrates that the Henrietta System can be controlled using voice commands. Speech recognition is not implemented in a practical way here, it is just a quick demo to showcase the possibilities of leveraging the power of cell phones to augment functionality with features like speech recognition once you build in a communications link to cell phones.
The following demo, simply uses built-in speech recognition on an android device to provide the same commands that can be typed in and communicated via Bluetooth. I say simply because I did not do any software or hardware development to implement this capability, it was all available as soon as I implemented Bluetooth communications.
Specifically this demo shows Henrietta turning air conditioning on and off in response to voice commands. These commands are designed for typing so they are simply an "A" to turn on the A/C and an "a" to turn it off. Voice recognition may not know the difference between "A" and "a" since they are pronounced the same, but you can see in the demo how I accomplished it.

With a little more work, it would be feasible to implement fairly practical remote voice control.
Conclusions
Adding a communication link to cell phones opens up the ability to leverage the extensive software and powerful hardware available in the cell phone world.
