Hello Everyone,
To those who don't know me, I am Josh, and as you can tell from my project description on the Sudden Impact Wearables Design Challenge Competitors page, I am a student based in the UK.
Now, Sport is not really my thing - in fact, I absolutely HATE it. But, when it comes to making other people's lives better, I am keen to help make the world a better place with electronics.
I want this project to serve as a reminder to everyone here that no matter what age you are, you can still do awesome things. This being said, I am not an electrical engineer, and I do not have much experience with electronics, however I am taking this as a learning experience.
To begin this week's post, I want to thank a few people and organisations that have helped make this Design Challenge a reality for me:
- Farnell & Newark Element14
- The judges that chose the participants for Sudden Impact
- Tektronix
- Analog Devices
- Electrolube
All of these people above donated their time, money and products to support people like me as we all embark on this journey of learning and fun.
I would also like to take the chance to thank in advance the following people, who have helped support my initial application by supplying critical information, and for volunteering to help design and build the final product:
- sunnyiut
- michaelwylie
- "bobbybee" - Advice and Development
- Mia Faure - Main Source of Motivation
So all in all, thank you for this awesome opportunity and I am glad to be a part of such an amazing Design Challenge.
I'll detail my project and what it consists of in my next blog post, which'll be published this week as a continuation of this one.
Until next time, Goodbye!
