It's always difficult to plan something you want to do, but is not your job. I really wanted to "play seriously" with these toys ad I with was thinking about a good plan for my project. But first the start was postponed, overcoming the summer. Then, a lot of complications changed a little bit my life, reducing my free time in this period...
So, I'm here to apologize to you and "officially" end my participation in this challenge, because, of course, I didn't publish my 5 blogs on time!
By the way, this was a project that I really wanted to made for myself, not only for this competition, so I will publish anyway the next steps out of the contest, if it will be possible.
In the meantime I will anticipate something about the enclosure, also known as Stevenson screen, as I mentioned in the introduction.
I basically need an enclosure with a good ventilation, but covering the electronics against the rain.
To do that, I found these plastic vase saucers, with a perfect size:
If you look at the plastic mold, they have 6 rised circles, perfect to drill 6 holes in the same position for eache plate, without the need of a template or several measurements.
I will cut 3 of them in the center, to leave as much room as possible, and then use 6 long bolts (plus cylindric spacers) to connect them together.
After this, I have to paint them white, of course, to reduce the radiation absorption as much as possible.
I hope to publish the next steps as soon as possible and I wish good luck to the other participants!
