Thankyou infineon and element14 community  e14phil danzima for choosing me one of the official challenger of sustain the world design contest.

First blog

THE HOME SUPER SMART

Eco friendly design of residential apartment buildings with excellent use of home automation. The world have evolved into a global village where pollution, disasters, diseases have spread to a maximum range. In this type of chaos, it is very necessary to preserve the earth and the living things that exist on it. So to preserve our Earth environment and natural resources the concept of eco-friendly or going eco-friendly has progressed .In order to recognize this very concept we first need to understand that why do we need to go eco-friendly?

In order to save our planet we need to promote self-sustainability and self-sufficiency. Our purpose should be to promote a greener and healthier environment.

Sustainability is a word that has been used more frequently over the years with reducing carbon emissions and saving the environment on the top of everyone’s agenda. This has caused several homeowners to relocate from traditional bricks-and-mortar houses into different types of accommodation. Eco-friendly residential apartments can help you save time and money as the materials used are easily accessible. Many builders are able to buy the materials locally, which not only saves time, but also reduces the carbon footprint by minimising the distance they need to be shipped. Eco-friendly residential apartments require less maintenance as they are constructed to last a long time. Less money and less manpower is spent making repairs or applying touch ups because green materials are durable and look newer for longer. The buildings’ extended lifespan will also lead to a higher property value so if the homeowner decides to sell they would increase their initial investment.

I am conducting a research on this project(will it be a home with the longest life span?) further to make it more efficient and cost effective so that more and more people can turn their normal apartment to a eco-friendly residential apartment Understanding how the home will fit its owners means defining the size and proximity of the different spaces needed for activities and equipment . Anticipate changing information technology (IT) and other building systems equipment. I will also be doing Case Study on green buildings concept.

I will also try to bring most creative solution utilizing any of  XMC4700 Relax Lite Kit, the Platform2GO XMC4200 MCU, the TL94112 Motor Controller, the DPS368 Pressure sensor, the TLV493D A1B6 MS2GO Magnetic Sensor, and a Profet+2 12 Smart Switch Shield, all from Infineon.

I am open to all ideas from you all, what more or how differently I can use these kits in my project.

This was my first blog and I will try to continue writing more when I will receive my kit.

"Building eco-friendly houses is not a want anymore, it is a need. Around 40 per cent of the greenhouse gases are released by construction activities, considering the huge volumes of energy required to build and sustain the houses. Lifestyle modification is needed to prevent water crises and floods."
