I really like the small plastic D-1000 connectors, lightweight and compact..
The Uno R3 compared to the original recipe - the new one is green and clean, came mounted on a nice plastic vented base but otherwise looks exactly the same
The 1st steering control compartment was assembled to test stepper motors,
take some scope screen shots to look at the stepper gating,
and the confirm RC receiver PWM timing between channels. It also helped to effectively zero the RC transmitter offsets.
A steering control could seriously be done in couple minutes using a servo, but then it wouldnt much be of a challenge, would it ?
Blog #4 will be along in a couple weeks or so for a real Rube of steering control intending to use a stepper motor.
