April 25th: Fresh New Blog

Here we are again, I have some new toys to play with and a few days off work so hopefully I can make some progress on my clever containers. First things first, here is a picture that will hopefully show you how my system is going to work together.. I may have to add some extra bits and pieces to include things like motor and light control. We will see..

    The comminications structure is actually what I am working on right now actually..
    First step is just to get boards talking to each other with their various methods (i2c/uart etc).

    I have started working on an instruction format. For example for the RGB LED control, I send a message from my GUI to the CC3000 like this.

    I_L_R100, the I_ confirms that the message is an insruction, the L is an LED instruction, the R100 switches the PWM duty cycle for the red LED to 100..

     

    Once I have more to talk about I will stick it all in a blog post image

  • I don't know about an army, but it looks like you have the beginnings of a good squad. image

     

    Have you defined a communications structure yet?

    I am assuming you will use messages to coordinate each of the processors.

     

    Your integration issues could get interesting.  Have you defined your test plan?  I find that thinking about testing helps me focus on additional items I need for the design.

     

    Just a thought.
