beaglebone gets a pair of Wireless Qiki Underpants
I just received a beaglebone last night.
Here is a quick video of it in process of being adapted for Wireless and battery operation.
Rather than a cape, room has been made below the beaglebone for Wireless power, battery, circuits and components hence the term "underpants" rather than "cape".
The plan is to add an internal connector on the beaglebone and use the beaglebone's dc power connector to switch between external power and wireless/battery.
This keeps the unit looking tidy.
I made a prototype case to test the concept.
The Qi receiver coil clips into the base and the beaglebone mounts on the standoffs.
This leaves the expansion connectors free for additonal capes.
