Today's Post is about Reverse Engineering.
This is one of the first things I try to do before starting any project is to purchase a competitors product or find a similar product and then take it apart. This approach is obviously used world wide and it is a great way to find out how a design was made and what made it successful to become a commercial or consumer product, this approach is for begining engineers as well.
I puchased a consumer product that allows the charging of a battery via wireless power (induction). This product happens to charge two Wii controllers with status outputs as leds indicating that it is charging.
I took this design completely apart to see what made this product successful and how that design was made. This approach really seems to me to be a very good method before starting any design, or during the design.
I will not say what brand this is but it is a very popular item right now.

I hope this helps everyone see another design opened up!
