Update on the Qi Lime Pi Shield and the Hot Qi Dog Cape

Hello World,

 

I have recently made the Qi Lime Pi Shield and the Hot Qi Dog Cape in prototyping versions as well as the Qi Lime Pi Slice and the Mini Hot Qi Dog Cape. These boards are STILL on their way. I have contacted OSHPARK and they are looking into why the order has not been received by the PCB Manufacturer. I will probably place an order for overnight service on Monday if they don't pull through for me! Don't worry I will hopefully not be a fail as I have all components in hand ready to solder with the hot air pencil!

 

This concludes the update for these devices and I will post more as I complete the projects.

    Hi Chad,

     

    I haven't looked closely at your PCB layout but depending upon the manufacturer it can take some time for them to gear up - particularly when it requires precision for things like 0.2mm plated through via holes, fine and closely tracks 4/4mil.

     

    I'm looking at some capability specimens and have noticed the older specimen only goes as low as 0.4mm holes and 6/6mil tracks.

    I'm happy with 0.8mm substrate.

     

    I couldn't even imagine hand drilling 0.4mm let alone 0.2mm via holes.
