Wireless Power Qi Energizer 2 Position Transmitter Pad

Hello World,

I wanted to share with you the Qi Energizer 2 Position Transmitter Pad.

This is used for any Qi Compatible devices! I wanted to test this Qi Technology and see how well the Qi Technology is adapted throught different designs.

It works perfectly with the Texas Instruments Evaluation Board. A huge difference noticed right away was that I can only have the evaluation receiver board off of the engergizer transmitter about a 1/4" or about 3-5mm, as compared to the Texas Instruments Transmitter boards we have all acheived about 10mm or higher without losing 5V.

This is a video showing off the the testing of the Receiver with a consumer brand of Qi Transmitter Pad.

    Good test.

It will be interesting to see if you can identify which parts of the TI design get you the extra distance and why.

It may be that they can put more power into the coil, or there may be some subtle difference in the coils themselves.

Anyway, it gives you a good challenge to consider.

    Thanks

    DAB
