Lack of a license file.

20 Apr 2014

it has been a busy couple weeks. I have been getting parts in and discovering a few more parts that I could use (ie etchant and extra PCB).

If you read my last blog post Shaky hands and precision soldering do not mix  you will know that the DC converters I want to use to harvest energy from my capacitors are VERY small....I ordered some PCB and solder amazon with speedy delivery so that I could make a breakout board. Unfortunately, when I went to design it in Eagle I found that I did not have a license. I was planning on doing the layout in eagle and just exporting it to cut with my KNK zing...but it seems that Gmail redirected the email with my license file to the SPAM folder, and in the meantime the license expired. To be fair, half the email was in German.

I have contacted Eagle, and hopefully I will receive the software license soon! I will keep you all updated with my progress!

regards

Alex

    Alex

We had an advertisement put out by Toyota and the theme was "Bu$$er".

You can probably use the free version since any new version wants to install in its own folder.

    same

I used to be able to use an old dos version of protel, but I never did double sided boards as they were REALLY expensive.

Even the price for getting the holes drilled was frightening, let alone plate thru.

Doug wellington seems to be very well versed in eagle.
