Making 3D printers and product design are really interesting topics! There's lots of interest for that on this site : ) I don't own a 3D printer yet, but hope to get into it one day as well.
You might be interested in checking out conversations for any topic of your interest via the Search box at the top, and also the three sections Learn/Discuss/Build have good content on all sorts of electronics topics. I've highlighted Single-Board Computers as an example, it might be of interest for controlling 3D printers.
If you want to see the latest activity on the site at any time, click on the Activity button at the top-right and you can change your settings to see the most recent activity. To do that, after you have clicked on Activity, a few more clicks are needed, shown further below.
Next, on the left side there will be an Activity drop-down from where All Activity can be selected:
Click on Most Recent, and then click on the pin icon until it turns blue:
The, whenever you click on the the Activity button at the top-right of the page (or go to https://www.element14.com/community/news when you're logged in), you'll always see the latest content on the site.
