  • The Wearable Solder Gauntlet would be fantastically useful for my new job in IT. Also I would love to use them on my show.

  • I would prefer the texting radios to use around my house when people are in different rooms and they can't hear anything. If I could get anything I would take it but I still prefer the texting radios.

  • Goodmorning from North Scotland. I would like to say a big thankyou Ben. I happened upon your video stream about 6 months ago and it has given me the kick to get back into electronics after too many years away from it.

     

    Since seeing your show I now have various Arduino based projects running an currently working on a GPS logger.  The logger will track the fleet of trucks at the recovery garage I work at. Then when the truck arrives back in the yard. The module detects the "home" wifi. connects and using FTP and downloads its tracks into the server for review. I am also using a G sensor to log rough driving events as some drivers are very hard on the trucks.

     

    my other main area of interest is visual having spent 8 years looking after 850 Tandberg video confernece units for National Health Board Scotland. I enjoy the LCD hacks and the ZXspectrum brought back happy memories of opening my specci on Christmas Day 1983. Graduating from my ZX81 which to save money I had to solder together myself.

     

    My outside hobby is my 1/3 scale miniature Burrell Scenic Showman Steam traction engine. I am looking at building a light system for when I am out on the road. wireless control of tail light clusters including turn indicators, rear reds and brakes. Then front turn indicators and super bright white focused LED headlights.

    If I had to specify what I would like to win it would be the latest LCD ultra wide hack. All easily removable for when at the show ground on display and during the day.

     

    SO again a massive thankyou for the kick up the backside back into the world of electronics

  • I would use any of the prizes listed to sit on a table somewhere in my house, so people could come over and go "what the hell is that?" and I would say I entered a contest on a youtube show i really like and won that... however the xbox one laptop I would probably take with me everywhere and play games 24/7.

  • I would love to win any one of the builds and see how they work and maybe experiment with them.
