Hello element14 Community!

I’m Karen Corbeill and I was recently brought on to the Ben Heck Show to help with social media and to give you, the audience, more insight and engagement with the show. Here on the element14 Community, you can find me as theHeckwithKaren. I will also be posting and replying on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and youtube as The Heck with Karen.

Here’s a little about me and my maker chops. I love to weld, craft, and costume. I modify and race power wheels cars. And I co-founded a hackerspace. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone on The Community!

I’ll be bringing you more photos and videos of what’s happening in Ben’s shop, polls asking your opinion about current and future builds, as well as more interaction with your build ideas.

Welcome to the show Karen. One question I have might be pretty weird but I have a few reasons behind it but it's mostly for Ben Heck himself so I'd love if you could allow me to ask it.

Could you tell me more about your problem? If it's an electronics problem, you could always check out the local hackerspaces and see if anyone there would be willing to help you. Sector67 is chock full of experienced engineers and the Bodgery has a very open and friendly atmosphere with experienced makers that would help if they can.

It is mostly with raspberry pi's and other single board computers. I have actually tried to contact Sector67 because I have been there but I haven't gotten a reply from them.

Try the Bodgery. There's actually a Microcontroller meetup there tonight at 7pm, or most Fridays between 7-10pm is a good time to go. If you're under 18, you'll either need a parent with you, or bring a signed minor waiver. You can get one off the wiki found on thebodgery.org. If those times don't work for you, you can email contact@thebodgery.org or join the public email list madcitymakers@googlegroups.com.
I'll be there welding tomorrow night if you want to talk in person.

Sounds interesting. I'll see if I can go tomorrow or another time this or next week. I can't seem to find the waiver for minors on the wiki could you give me a link?

Thanks so when is a good time to come if I wanna ask about Raspberry Pi's and get tips because I know close to nothing other than its specs. I am a beginner who'd like to try out something new like this.
