I agree with you. Well done notionsunday !

And paulellison trust me, Blender is the worth to spend time to understand how it works. The only better software - not open - for mechanic design, strongly oriented to the 3D printing or Milling is SolidWorks + SolidCam. I have to use it for several reasons time by time but I definitely prefer Blender. That's all open source with tons of documentation, blogs, forums, examples and good support.

Now, I have a few components modeled so future project will be a bit easier.
