TBHS: Raspberry Pi Zeros! Can Haz!

In our last episode, we mentioned that we were unable to get our hands on a Raspberry Pi Zero when they were released. We've gotten a lot of build ideas revolving around the RPZero, but no Pis around for the making. Two wonderful fans of the show DID have some and they were gracious enough to mail them to us. Special thanks to Blacksheep32  and YouTube user, stryk187, aka Rob Lada for sending us your Raspberry Pi Zeros!

So now it's really time to submit your build suggestions! What would you like to see us build with these two fine pieces of electronics here? Let us know in the comments below.

In the UK they recalled them as people were just taking them out of the packaging without paying for the magazine. It made very disappointed as I love the magpi magazine.

How about set a Pi-0 up as a smart video controller for less capable micro-controllers. Controlled by some type of serial commands. This would be a low cost solution to a tough problem for small micro…

Can you build a 3D printed drone that uses the RPi Zero for less than $200 like this?

How to build a $200 smart drone with the Pi Zero | ZDNet

The main idea is to also add GPS so it can deliver a tasty beverage or snack to you with the touch of a button on your mobile phone app or smartwatch!

Here's the one I've built but haven't tested the GPS full autopilot yet!

How about a RasPi0-based IP camera, as the newer versions now have an onboard connection for the Raspberry Pi Camera? Maybe even make it self-powered and weatherproof? A fully independent security camera? Could go all out and also make it a weather station.

What about a Raspberry Pi Zero smartwatch? A voice controlled drone? Or maybe a Raspberry Pi Zero powered Gameboy SP? Possibly even a plug n play 3D printed gaming controller that has a power supply and rpi in the controller and you just have to plug it up to the HDMI on a TV to play?

I would love to build something like that. Problem is Pi zeros are few and far between.

There is probably like a three year waiting list I'm not even on yet.

This reminds me of something I saw in MAD magazine as a kid. To use the keyboard you had to use what looked like a thimble with a tiny finger on the tip to be able to press the buttons. Hilarious.
