TBHS: Raspberry Pi Zeros! Can Haz!

In our last episode, we mentioned that we were unable to get our hands on a Raspberry Pi Zero when they were released. We've gotten a lot of build ideas revolving around the RPZero, but no Pis around for the making. Two wonderful fans of the show DID have some and they were gracious enough to mail them to us. Special thanks to Blacksheep32  and YouTube user, stryk187, aka Rob Lada for sending us your Raspberry Pi Zeros!

So now it's really time to submit your build suggestions! What would you like to see us build with these two fine pieces of electronics here? Let us know in the comments below.

In the UK they recalled them as people were just taking them out of the packaging without paying for the magazine. It made very disappointed as I love the magpi magazine.

How about set a Pi-0 up as a smart video controller for less capable micro-controllers. Controlled by some type of serial commands. This would be a low cost solution to a tough problem for small micro…

I'd love to see that, and maybe the other would be a matching world's smallest arcade cabinet that you'd need tweezers for the joystick? Burgertime would be perfect for this!

So the Pi effortlessly broadcasts on the FM frequency.  I want to see one of these with a 3G/GSM shield running Tunein radio (or Spotify / Audibles / other streaming service) and broadcast on the FM frequency so I can have my fav tunez or audiobooks and online radio in the car without replacing my old stereo.  It can run off a small rechargeable battery pack connected to the 12v circuit of the vehicle (maybe via cigarette lighter outlet).  A couple of buttons to change app or change fav stations would be awesome.

I saw this emulator build with a Pi Zero, retro pi and an original fat xbox controller. I think it can be made to look a lot better then the prototype in the link below. I am going to be trying this myself when ever I get my hands on a pi zero as well.

Well, with the newly announced Mini Nintendo NES... how about you build your own with a Pi Zero? 3D Print a NES style case to match! That way you can get around the, ahem, limit of 30 games. image
