Hello!
Some days ago i scrapped an old HDD for another project. When I moved this round data-metal-plate (whats the name of this?) it just feels like one of those mp3-usb-dj-sets(see picture).

So here`s the idea:
The HDD works with a stepper-motor and when i controll this motor from a computer (maybe a pi when its fast enough.maybe not the best sound?) I should be able to get response from my movement speed on the plate, too.
So if I attach my movement Speed to the speed of playing a mp3 file it should be like a DjPlate.
There must be a way to make this happen! And it will look just awesome. Playing music from HDD- the new way! 
What do you guys think? Any Ideas which platform would be the best? Maybe there are some exsisting open source projects like this i didn`t find? Subscribe!
