With over 150,000,000 in the wild, the Nintendo DS is the second best selling game console of all time. That means that there are a lot of older models, namely the original DS and the DS Lite, that are just lying around. The DS would already have a rechargeable battery and screens!
I have a Raspberry Pi A+ that I originally intended to put in a no longer functioning DS Lite. With the release of the Raspberry Pi Zero this past week, I think I'll wait until I can get my hands on one of those instead.
