It's a really good idea. When I was studying we built a dispensing system that used an ink-jet printer head, to squirt an exact dose onto the skin. There are also syringe methods that use a worm gear type mechanism. A compact pill system that dispenses at regular intervals, or a low-cost device that can self-reorder when it is running low is not so far away these days when WiFi devices cost just a few dollars. It would be a fun thing for someone to prototype.
