Hello Ben,
My idea for a show is to make an all-in-one laptop for running a nano-brewery.
If you have ever seen the mash tun/boiling panel setups used in some systems, they are PLC-controlled relays that turn on and off pumps, heating elements, temp sensors etc...
If you have ever seen temperature control systems for fermentation, they are similar to the mash tun setups...a PLC controlled relay, a pump, and temp sensors.
The products out there are all designed to be built in place, hard wired, and bolted to the wall or something stationary.
In my scenario, I am in an apartment... no panel mounting or hard wiring allowed.
My vision is for a laptop to be built with all the required relays, PLC's, sensor inputs....everything in one case.
I have seen the use of a Raspberry PI to do portions of this kind of build already, but never the mash tun/ boil kettle /fermentation all-in one.
My mind has this project on it daily... constantly thinking it over.
I've included some pics of my existing system...
Will you help me O-Wise Ben Heck?
