Raspberry Pi POE

Ben,

I have been watching all most of your youtube containing the raspberry pi.  I was wondering it you would be able to make the PI work via POE.  Not with the adapter that is sold via a third party, but by soldering the pins on the bottom of the Ethernet adapter and steping them down to 5V then use them on the GPIO power.

It would be sweet if you could do this all while still keeping it in a fairly small form factor.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

But not very efficient see some specs

    TECHNICAL SPECS

    input voltage     48V
    input power     15.4W
    output voltage     5V
    output power     10W
    PoE standard     IEEE 802.3af
LEDs     PoE power input indicator light, DC output power indicator light
environment     operating temp.: 0°~55°C; storage temp.: -20°~70°C; operating humidity: 10%~90%, non-condensing; storage humidity: 10%~95%
