I use a vendor machine for coffee and hot drinks all day long. Each time I have to press a sequence of keys to tell that machine my preferences again and again: big cup, some milk, no sugar....
Wouldn't it be great if such machines recognize me and remeber my preferences by a single touch of my fingerprint?
While it turned out, that fingerprint sensors are not hundret percent fraud save and therefore not a good choice for security applications, they might still be usefull in every day applications to recognize individuals and save them time by remeber their preferences.
That coffee machine is just one exemple of many.
