do you mean "A wireless sensor network (WSN) (sometimes called a wireless sensor and actor network[1] (WSAN)[1]) are spatially distributed autonomous sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, pressure, etc. and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to a main location."

If so then you have suggested only half of a idea. What do you want to monitor in this network. I think it is on this forum where I saw a post about the person wanting to monitor several Marine aquariums testing the PH, Salinity, and the temp of the water in the aquariums. With out a suggestion on what the network sensor are going to monitor. I can build a basic 3 room network that monitors temp in each room for probably 50 dollars, but to build what this other forum member asked (the marine aquarium one) it might take more money and allot more work setting it up plus finding the right sensors for the job..
